Pastor Chaunsey Brown answered the call to shepherd New Hope Christian Fellowship in November of 2023. Pastor Chaunsey has made it a central mission of his to be an integral part of the church's close-knit community. Being a lifelong resident of Central New York, with the bulk of his adult life spent in the Mohawk Valley, Pastor Chaunsey brings a deep understanding of the region's culture and spiritual needs, recognizing the profound need for the lifesaving message of Jesus Christ.

With boundless passion and unwavering commitment, Pastor Chaunsey's life is a testament to his devotion of serving Jesus Christ and magnifying His glory. Throughout his journey, Pastor Chaunsey has worn many hats: Service Host, Interim Executive Director, Youth Leader, Children’s Ministry Director, Itinerant Preacher. Each of these roles has enabled him to serve as a beacon of light and hope to people of all ages and backgrounds. From guiding youth in church settings to tutoring/mentoring students at Herkimer County Community College and serving in several different capacities at Upstate Caring Partners, his mission remains the same. Namely that of winning people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and nurturing minds, hearts, and souls with the transformative power of the Gospel.

Pastor Chaunsey is ordained with Elim Fellowship out of Rochester, NY. He understands the importance for ministry to extend far beyond the church walls, so he finds great joy and immense fulfillment in his role as a husband to Karen and a father to their three children. Together, they cherish moments spent with family, relish outdoor adventures, and maintaining an unwavering faith in seeing God’s kingdom come and his will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!
